A Touch of Light

A lovely visit to Sunny Hunney (Hunstanton) with friends saw four of us enjoying a plate of fish and chips from the comfort of a motor home (Trevor) whilst watching the sun make its way towards the horizon at the end of a beautiful summer’s day.

As it did so I was reminded just how quickly the intensity and colour of the light changes that provided some great opportunites to seek out compositions highlighting  different aspects of the light and how it affects potential photographs.

With this in mind I looked to take a wide view image when the sun was  partially hidden by clouds and then a closer one of seed heads  silhouetted by the sun behind them. My final photograph was taken as the sun lit up  opaque glass panels in a nearby shelter causing them to take on a beautiful golden hue.

I was so pleased with these three relatively simple photographs that demonstrated the incredible power that light can have, not only on the photographs, but also the sense of place I experienced that evening just watching the sun set over the sea.

With grateful thanks to Chris, Stewart, May and of course, Trevor
