Going Local

I’ve made a decision!! Now I know this doesn’t happen very often but there it is….I have and I’m going to stick to it. I’ve decided that I’m going to explore my local area more than I’ve done in the past.
So armed with my trusty Canon I took myself off to the village of Thompson in the area of Thompson Water and walked through an area known as Thompson Carr. I was immediately struck by the tranquil atmosphere; the tree canopy foliage was so thick not only did it affect the amount of available light but it made the air so still instilling a sense of “foreboding and mystery”.
My walk took me to a small clearing around a “pingo” and I was amazed how the light and and conditions changed giving an opportunity to a tree sapling to reach for the sky and was quite pleased with the image I took of the scene.
